Will the 1€ pledge give me access to the pledge manager to upgrade my pledge after the campaign?
Yes, the €1 “Goblin” pledge tier will give you access to the pledge manager. You will be able to upgrade your pledge in the Backerkit pledge manager once the campaign ends. NOTE: The Metal Beastmaster Medallion is not included in this tier.

You pledge for the base game - the Adventurer’s pledge tier - and then add the new expansion as an add-on now, or later during the pledge manager. This is the tier for you!

I went all-in in the first campaign; What do I need to pledge now so as to get all that Fateforge has to offer?
If you went All-In during the previous campaign, you just need to pledge for the Warden’s Pledge tier and maybe add any add-ons that we offer during this campaign (paint sets & map of Kaan) and you’re all set!

Is the new Kin of the Wild expansion backwards compatible? Can I play with the pets in the base game and previous expansion?
Some content found in the Kin of the Wild expansion (e.g., items, weapons, armor) is compatible with the base game and previous expansion. You cannot use pets in the previous campaigns - the pets can be used in the new campaign of the Kin of the Wild expansion.

What’s the difference between the previous Kickstarter “Limited Deluxe Edition” and the current “Deluxe Edition” of Fateforge: Chronicles of Kaan?
The “Limited Deluxe Edition” that we offered during the previous KS campaign came with these additional items: a) a limited-run sticker on the inside of the box signed by the designer b) 4 limited art-prints There will be a few edits in the Rulebook to address some minor known issues. Apart from these, all other content and exclusive deluxe components are exactly the same as in the current “Deluxe Edition” that we offer during this campaign.

Will the Kin of the Wild expansion offer additional Heroes to play with?
The new expansion introduces 5 pet characters to play with alongside your heroes, all with their pet boards, dice, skills and abilities. There are no additional heroes.

How long will the new expansion campaign be? Is there any replayability?
The new campaign of the Kin of the Wild expansion will offer between 8-12 hours of content - highly dependent on your choices & playstyle. There is a lot of replayability, especially considering the branching narrative outcomes and all possible combinations between your heroes & pets, ensuring that you can play the campaign multiple times, while going for different party compositions and narrative choices.

What language versions are/will be available?
The game is available in English, French, German, Polish and Italian on Kickstarter. You’ll be able to select your preferred language during the pledge manager phase.

I was an original Kickstarter backer during the previous campaign of Fateforge; I supported the game pledging for the English version, but now I would like to switch to e.g., the German version. Anything I can do?
We know some of you might prefer to play a German or Italian version of the physical game, but still supported us by backing the English version when we launched the first campaign and these versions were not available. Therefore, if you are a returning backer, we’re offering a €25 discount in this Kickstarter campaign if you back the current Kickstarter at Adventurer or Emperor pledges in Italian or German The discount will be activated once the campaign closes. We will ask you to fill in a form with your previous backer details, and once confirmed, we will credit your pledge manager by that amount.

Do I need to be online to use the app?
No you do not need to be online to use the app. You only need an internet connection to download it to your device and for the occasional updates.

On which platforms does the app run?
The app is currently available on the Google Play Store (for Android devices) and the App Store (for iOS devices) and it’s fully optimized for both tablets and smartphone devices. What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
